Facility

ackson Prairie Speedway is a 1/6th mile high banked red clay oval. JPS began in the early 90’s as a go-kart practice track. Within a year local karters were wanting to have races. Soon the JPS summer series races began. The 1/8th mile saw many changes with minor lengthening as well as many different configurations.Within a few years lights were on the track. At the time it was the only kart racing facility with saturday night races. In the summer of 96′ the large 1/6th mile oval was carved into the ground. It took many years of development to get the new speedway “up and running”. Practices were held in 2001 and 2002 with our first full race season beginning in May of 2003. AS time goes on the speedway will continue to see improvements.
